HELP REDUCE WRINKLES AND FINE LINES WITH BOTOX

Botox is a purified form of the botulinum toxin that is obtained from bacteria. A regulated amount of Botox is given to correct wrinkles and fine lines by paralyzing the underlying muscles. Without the movement of the treated muscles in the face, wrinkles and fine lines can be softened, reduced, or even removed.

Dr. Renta brings over 20 years of experience in the medical field and specializes in injection therapy. At Alexis de la Renta Medical Aesthetics Center, you are in good hands when getting your botox injections. We understand that everyone is different and that’s where our expertise on the facial anatomy comes into play to provide an optimal solution to help rid of those wrinkles and fine lines.

We offer all of the brand names of the botulinum toxin.

WHAT CAN BOTOX CORRECT?

Botox only works on wrinkles or fine lines that are caused by muscle movement. By paralyzing the underlying muscle Botox can help to deal with these dynamic wrinkles and expression lines in the face. Some of the most common dynamic wrinkles Botox is used to treat are lines on the upper face, horizontal lines on the forehead, and crows feet around the eyes. Over time these lines are caused by facial expressions such as smiling frowning and squinting.

Because Botox is used to treat wrinkles caused by muscle movement it will not work on wrinkles or fine lines caused by sagging or loss of plumpness in the face. Common places for these static wrinkles include cheeks, neck, and jowl areas. We offer treatment for these static wrinkles as well through the form of dermal fillers or RF Microneedling.

Repeated treatments are necessary for continued wrinkle-reducing effects. With botox most people find that the muscle relaxing effect of Botox last for three to four months.

ADD VOLUME AND FIRMNESS WITH FILLERS

Dermal fillers, sometimes called soft tissue fillers, are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness.

People should discuss their individual needs and expectations with their doctor to determine what filler would be the best choice for them.

What can dermal fillers correct?

Different types of dermal fillers are designed to treat varying signs of aging. Depending on the filler selected, they may:

  • plump up thinning lips
  • enhance or fill in shallow areas on the face
  • decrease or remove the shadow or wrinkle under the eyes caused by the lower eyelid
  • fill in or soften the look of recessed scars
  • fill in or soften static wrinkles, especially on the lower face

Static wrinkles include those around the mouth and along the cheeks. These wrinkles are usually a result of a loss of collagen and elasticity in the skin.
